Leopard Self Portrait 1923 - POS1
$10.95
This "Standing Leopard" is another example of the special "positive" photographs and was one of Martin Johnson's favorite pictures. The leopard had tripped a wire that set off a flash. "I shall never forget the morning when I developed this negative. I had set up my flash apparatus for the first time. It went off during the night and I went down and took in the plate. In the morning I watched the spots develop and then when it came out of the hypo, I ran down the hill to show Osa. We thought then - and still think - that it is the best leopard picture ever taken.
